Xiaoyi technology has newly released the international version of Xiaomi Yi action camera, which includes two edition, US edition & EU edition. All of us have the same doubt about the differences between CN version and International version. Here I’m gonna to compare the two version from the details.  Package The CN version package box is made from wood materials, International version is also using recyclable wood material box with a red paper cover. CN Version                         International Version  Appearance The appearance design of the two version is almost the same, the only difference is the CN version has a shallow hole on the bottom of camera while International version doesn’t have it, this makes the international version more structured and aesthetic. CN Version                         International Version  Battery One of the considerable difference lies in the battery, CN version is with Chinese label, using Panasonic battery cell, battery capacity minimum 960 mAh, hasn’t pass FCC certification. International version is with English label, using Sony battery cell, battery capacity minimum 990mAh, and has pass CE & FCC certification. (US edition has pass CE & FCC & CRUUS certification, EU edition has pass CE & FCC & KC certification.) The battery of International version performs much better than CN version, and longer life. CN Version                         International Version  Battery cover The Aluminium alloy battery cover also contributes to the better performance of International version, it helps with better heat-dissipation performance. The CN version is with plastic battery cover, the heat-dissipation is not so good. CN Version                         International Version  User manual International version is with English user manual, this will help a novice learn to use the Yi action camera much easier. The CN version is with Chinese user manual, it will be OK if you’re familiar with Chinese. CN Version                         International Version  Certification International version has passed CE and FCC certification as you can see in the picture below.
