MK808B New Stock Firmware Release

Hi guys:

This is the newest firmware for original MK808B, it is not for MK808, not for clone mk808B, please be aware.

The firmware fix the problem for no blue led light when you connect with the charger, or it has no signal on your TV.

    I tried it yesterday and it seemed to work for me! after i restored the firmware, the blue led lit up. so that's a good sign. i will try tonight if it all works again

    don't rooted, try to root by yourself, it's easy, and yes, only fix that problem, man that is a big problem for some guys, lol

    cannot install the rockusb driver. I have windows 7 64 Proffesional. When i want to install the driver the computer pops up with: the inf file you selected does not support this method of installation.

    On all my windows computers its the same.

    Anybody know what i can do to fix this?

    Will we get 1080p for mk808b firmware like mk808?
    It will also be good if we can have the 1080p with custom xbox and ps3.

    Yes,it will, we are working hard with our ROM developer and factory engineer to make a real 1080P output for MK808B. just keey eyes on geekbuying mk808b, we will release that as soon as possible.

    One suggestion. If you can, for the widows USB driver, it would be clearer if the directories are called 64bit and 32bit, instead of AMD64 and x86.
    Some people will think x86 for Intel and AMD64 is only for AMD CPUs ....

    Hello,

    If i try on windows 7 er windows Vista i still get: the inf file you selected does not support this method of installation. So cannot use the OTG port on a computer.

    Anybody know why this is?

    You need disable signature driver! and try again install driver!

    Hi - Can you confirm when flashing do I either:

    1. Press button, RELEASE button, connect MK808B
    or
    2. Press and HOLD button, connect MK808B, then release button

    Hello ..
    Several times I have tried to by this procedure give in download mode ..
    However, I can not know if it is in download mode because the blue light will not illuminate. As well as MK808 via hdmi out without any signal on tv.

    @Matjaž when I flashed my MK808B I did not have anything connected to any of the other ports (USB power, HDMI) only the OTG port. Also I actually opened the case so that I could properly see the reset button. Then I did the following:

    With USB cable connected to the MK808B but NOT my laptop (Windows7). I pressed and held the reset button then connected the other end of the USB cable to my laptop. Windows7 recognised the MK808B and tried to install the drivers and at this point I released the MK808Bs reset button. Windows7 didn't recognise the device and wouldn't give me the option to select new drivers. I had to go into Window7 Device Manager. Here I was able to find the device and install new drivers using drivers found in the folder of the download ...\update_mk808b_401\Driver\amd64\win7\

    I was able to follow the reset of the documentation which talks about the firmware image and flash tool.

    I also tried it like this. But still nothing happens (on Win XP) Simply do nothing happens when I connect the USB in PC. I will triy it at home on Win 7.

    My Stick did NOTHING before i used this firmware. No blue LED and no Signal output.

    After i flashed the new firmware it works fine but if i disconnect the device from power for a day it seems to reset itself and i have the same problem again.
    -> no LED, no signal :(

    Flashed it 3 times and always the same problem...

    Yesterday I tried my MK808B connect to win 7 32bit. But again nothing happens .. PC does not detect any new devices.

    What option is there except that the device is dead and to send her back to the service??

    make sure you have make the "usb debug" and connect to pc choice clicked!

    I have try 3 diferent models but one of them was logitech M555B, the other 2 i dont remember the exact model but they ware all from logitech. Thank you in advance for a great job you guys are doing.

    I forgot to say that if i use a bluetooth mouse with a mini dongle it stays paired all the time but if the device as bluetooth i dont really want to use the only usb port that i have to connect the mouse.

    Because of the lots of already reported problems with new beta 1080 firmware - I've flashed back the old release of Jan 15. It is much more stable for now. XBMC is running 720p videos smoothly with MX neon player plug-in. WiFi is about 52 mB/s with Bluetooth OFF.
    The few problems that I have:
    1. TV stick is going to sleep mode after 10-15 minutes of non-activity and then it is impossible to get it back without mains switching.
    2. There is no Power OFF option (as at Finless FW's).
    3. It is not rooted (but it could be done easily with Geekbuying standard tools provided earlier at this blog).

    After rooting I'm using the small tool called "Power OFF" from Google play

    It is turning off HDMI and is closing main system apps. It can not take OFF the blue light - may be because the stick does not have the related IC inside.

    Will wait for the new stock FW release - may be it will fix these problems.

    The MK808B from GeekBuying originally worked beautifully for about a week and then I got the condition of no blue LED and no TV signal. I followed the instructions, but my computer will not recognize the MK808B as a new device. I have tried it with and without power (which is correct?). I have tried pressing the rest and releasing it and then plugging the USB cable into the computer and I have tried holding down the button while connecting the device to the computer and then releasing the button (which is correct?). I have tried the USB connector on the end of the device and the OTG connector on the side of the device (which is correct?). I have tried several cables. The power adapter is a 1.0 amp source, but I read somewhere that a 2.0 amd source would be better (which is correct?). What do you suggest that I do now?

    Hello. When i was watching film the screen is freezing (stopped). i unplug source from dongle and after 15 sec plug it again. now i have text on my tv - "android" and some noise like a ocean waves. how can i repair ?
