Vorke has realeased Z1, the 3rd member of the family. Compared with the bland cartoon boxed ones, this mini PC comes in a fancy package that says a lot about what you might get from it. Despite the highlights and logo, you can also steal a glance at the specs printed on the bottom cover.
Inside the cartoon, you will find the Vorke Z1 mini pc wrapped in a waterproof bag, protected by an elastic anti-collision frame. When you’re ready to open it up, it’s just a case of removing the bag, revealing the familiar matt black square box that Geekbuying uses on almost all of its own brand hardware.
Deep inside, all the accessories that the box came with crammed, seemingly a mess of things though, it allows for optimized space-saving and the least object movement during transportation.

Design
Vorke Z1 features a comparatively compact design with a polished surface, matte black frame and bottom cover squeezed by anti-slipper pads. For the sake of heat dissipation, multiple vents neatly arrayed in rhombic lattices. Peeping into the vents, get a glimpse of the main board.
Interface
The frontal part has been witnessing the ON/OFF button and LED Indicator, with RJ45, OPTICAL, AV HDMI, DC IN and a Reset jack standing at the back. Flip to the left and right, you get 2 USB 2.0, MicroSD, and an Antenna for signal boost respectively.
Processor & Storage
Like the other member of the Vorke family, Z1 is once again vibrant and powerful, with perfect control over the configuration. Powered by Amlogic S912 processor with a maximum clock speed of 1.5GHz, it`s powerful enough to handle any of your pending tasks pertaining to entertainment pleasingly smooth. It scored 41103 in AnTuTu Benchmark test, which is above the average. This data is for reference only, you will have to try in person to see exactly how does it perform in practise ,

4K VP9 HDR
Pair Vorke Z1 with a monitor for video testing, it processed 4K, 1080p, etc videos flawlessly without buffering or stutters. Just head to VP9 and HDR, more possibilities are to be explored.
UI and APPS
Classic as it is, Z1 includes a customized UI in attractive sky blue with everything animates gorgeously. Press home button on the remote, you will get an option to shift from mediabox launcher into the traditional one.
There’s a couple of pre-installed apps, but Z1 has kept the inclusions minimal: customized KODI 16.1 – an award-winning GPL software media center for videos, music, pictures, games, etc. Entertainments. Miracast – An app to mirror your Android mobile’s screen wirelessly on your big screen.
Remote
Insteaed of pursuing minimalist design, the remote is swarmed with buttons, among which a few are circled and marked for TV. The appearance depicts something intricate, but it comes in handy in actual use. With HDMI CEC enabled, the Z1 and TV can be controlled together by one remote.
