M8 S802 KODI Latest Firmware and Flash Method Released 20150305

Hi, glad to share M8 TV box latest firmware, please check below information:

Flash method:

1, UnZip the “M8 S802 KODI 169450 20150305” file, and copy the files inside to a SD card’s root directory.
2, Connect TV box to a screen with HDMI cable, press the recover button and then power on, remove your hand from the recover button until the screen turn up a robot, then the box start to flash.
3, It will finish flashing after the box restart automatically.

    Yesterday I updated the M8 ( S802) firmware using a version I found in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJPI7JHZZUc ( I know, big mistake) and it worked fine however the Bluetooth option disappeared from the setting menu so I would like to go back to the stock firmware or install the one on this forum.

    I was trying to install the ROM I found in here but when the upgrade starts it goes to 50 % and the M8 just reboot without doing any updates.

    Any advise or support will be really appreciated .

Did you update the firmware version without Bluetooth?If that is the case,please refer to http://blog.geekbuying.com/index.php/2015/03/05/m8-s802-kodi-latest-firmware-and-flash-method-released-20150305/, to install our latest version. I already install that firmware but my issue still after installing that firmware my Bluetooth not working just 5 Minutes my Bluetooth visible and connected with devices but after 5 minutes Bluetooth having problem all connected devices disconnected if i connect again but no device connected after unplug device Bluetooth working same as 5 minutes, Kindly update firmware and resolve that error.

  8. As we know,you will need two devices to make Bluetooth function work.First,you have to figure the problem source.Is it the other connected device or tv box?If it is the tv box,you may have to re-root it.Good luck!

I m facing 2 issues first one is wifi aumatically disconnected and wifi unchecked after few minuts if i will again connect then after few minuts wifi again off and disconnected, my second issue is bluetooth, bluetooth same error as wifi, disconnect and bluetooth off, after these issue i reinstall previous firmware, after installing previous firmware my bluetooth having same problem but wifi working perfectly, my request is kindly guide me how to clean and refresh my device and send me updated firmware with all solution. my skype: irfan.khan750

  24. I’m very sure the problem source is with the M8. There has not been any problem with my Internet service. Other PCs were all able to access the Internet, before and after the upgrade. Just that after upgrading to 20150305 on the M8, the Ethernet box in the “SETTINGS/Network” would become unchecked. Having the Ethernet box checked would see that it got unchecked again after 5 to 10 minutes of normal internet surfing or online streaming. Going into SETTINGS/Other/More Settings/WIRELESS & NETWORKS/Ethernet”, the Ethernet option on the top right is shown as “OFF”. Turning the Ethernet setting on in here would still see the ethernet connection turned off after 5 to 10 minutes. However, the Language chosen in “Setting/Other/More Settings/PERSONAL/Language & input” would pertain even after reboots. Just the Ethernet option would get turned off, every 5 to 10 minutes.

  40. I have installed the firmware listed above in my M8 unit. When I run Kodi, the box immediately returns to the home screen. Any ideas on what can be done to diagnose the problem?

  42. I appreciate your response, but I have also found that I am seeing the problems with unreliable network connection reported by others with this firmware version. I have backed off to a much older version of firmware. I suggest you pull this version of firmware and send it back to the developers for more testing.

  44. Hello everyone, i’m having exactly same issue about the network connections. I’m using ethernet cable and ethernet network (also Wifi) switch turns off after 5-10 min usage and i have to go settings and turn on again. I’m using 4.4.2 KOT49H 20150122.     Hi guys this stock firmware is rubbish, probably all the stock ones are they are not stable at all. With bugs and ST , i had the same problem as most of you. The network kept disonnecting on its own and the freaking remote did not function properly. I couldn’t even downgrade it to fix it. My solution was a perfectly build custom firmware by mediaman.

    All credits goes to mediaman.
