Tronsmart just release new update for their CX-919 model.
Tronsmart CX-919 is a very early product which base on rock chip rk3188-t cpu. After long time developing, now the software support or custom rom support has been very well. Also there are developers porting the linux to the tronsmart CX-919.
FOR XBMC, you can try the beyond xbmc version.

I tried the Android 4.4 KitKat Beta firmware for tronsmart CX=919 and when it starts to boot I get a screen that says the following: sdcard boot tools system V1.31
pcba test error!!!
Android System Recovery
Volume up/down to move highlight:
Power button to select.
choices are:
– reboot system now
– wipe data / factory reset
– wipe cache partition
I can get the highlight bar to move to each selection using my attached USB mouse but cannot make the selection using any of the mouse buttons or from my attached USB keyboard either. How do I make the selection when when there is no power button?? This is not a tablet or phone.
help please??

I’m recieving the same error as reported by Greg, however I can select from the options available. This however has no effect as it just reboots back to the same screen. Any advice for us end users Geekbuying? Can you raise this with Tronsmart, and update us all please?

For those who got into the recovery mode, please try using the micro-usb port marked USB, and repeat the progress again. If you connect the stick with its DC marked micro-usb port to your computer and press the Fn while start, it will get into the recovery mode.
Finless kitkat beta worked fine for my cx 919 rk3188t bought from geekbuying. Previous roms didi not.. Thanks..

After doing a bit of research I came across roms from Rikomagic that are compatible. It may not be the official Tronsmart rom that I was looking for, but after trying various roms, this rom from Rikomagic is undoubtably the best rom I have had on my device. I got an original Tronsmart CX-919 (1.6ghz) from Geekbuying, used it a long time without problems.
Yesterday I got the famous Flickering screen problem???
I’m searched on Freaktab Forum & http://blog.geekbuying.com
I used before Finnles 1.6 & Neomode 1.9a, also never problems.
I got a Samsung HD TV , Resolution 1920 X 1080.
I tried al resolutions like 720/ 1280 to solve the flickering problem , nothing works good.
So I flashed original Tronsmart 4.2.2 firmware, tried Finnles 1.6, Neomode 1.9a and Pure XBMC v2.1
Still the problems persist,
Tried the Kitkat Beta & the 4.2.2 of 12-09, nothing works.
Any idea or help would be appreciated

if you turn on bluetooth you gonna have lots of wifi disconnects. other than that this RikoMagic Rom work fine on CX919.
So I was so busy I didn’t have time for this but finally successfully revived the stick by opening the case and doing jumpering the pins. Now, the stick is back!
