Some days ago, we post the Android 4.4 Kitkat Beta firmware for Tronsmart MK908 V5 version. some V3 and V1 board owners complaint about the lack support of their board.
Today, after talk with factory, Tronsmart release the Android 4.4 Kitkat beta firmware for V1 and V3 board users. you can download the firmware here:

How can I tell if my mk908 id v1, v3, or v5?
If you order the mk908 from us recently, then it will be V5 version, if you want to make sure, you can just open the case, and there will be print on the pcba board.
Run great!
Work good:
– Wifi signal is better than other roms. (no disconnect, refrest and connect fast)
– super fast (in love)
– Apps install so fast (good performance on multitasking)
Some points to fix.
– No shutdown button.
– No rooted.
– No flash (need root)
Installed this but beta kkv3 version. Now impossible to downgrade flash to a stable version of 4.2.2 and I tried many things. Can only install this beta kkv3 thing now and I’m stuck with it. Please make a stable version of kkv3.

After installation and boot some blue lines appear across the TV scree
Disconnect/reconnect power supply reboot and screen OK but switch TV between AV/TV mode and several blue/coloured lines appear on the samsung LCD TV. To restore the screen colours I need to repeat the disconnect/reconnect power supply and reboot the device.
Internal storage is only 1 GB – 2GB is preferable as it was in 4.2.2.
The screen zoom default is too large in HDMI and needs to be resized everytime I reboot the device.
Keyboard bootup is default set hardware on. To use soft keyboard need to access settings and turn it off – this is a nuisance. Soft keyboard at bootup is preferable.
Only one usb plugged into a hub can be recognised.
SD card from an SD card hub is not recognised – cannot get it to be recognised.
Insert mini SD card is sometimes not recognised – need a reboot to recognise.
No shutdown button.
Device is not root.
Sound adjustments are full on or full off.

This rom works good only I miss the explorer apk, with network places option.
This firmware version is very fast, but after i reboot or switch my tv its began to mass all, so i downgrade to 4.2. sucks

Almost 6months has passed and this firmware still in beta version. Just proves that tronsmart and bee link are not supporting their devices.
Thank goodness I’ve now bought minix products x7 and x8-h and my family and friends have been warned and have also all gone the MINIX route.

Hi, it all looks good, but I also have the Wi-Fi-problem on this version. It stays on status ‘Turning Wi-Fi on…’, so apparently this ROM is useless. 🙁
Try to make sure what is your mK908 version.
