In the past 2013, i have spent lots of time on the android tv box, i am glad you guys like my reviews and effort on the android tv boxes business. IN 2014, I will put much more time on the smartphone business. I will pick up the best smartphones,write reviews, get firmware, root informations, and custom rom support for  our smartphones.

Before i continue my reviews, i want to share some cell phone informations about china smartphone:

1 All of Geekbuying sold smartphones are unlocked, you can just insert your sim card, and use it without problem;

2 About frequency (Networking), this is the first you should check before you buy the smartphones. In Each phones description, we will mark very clearly what is the real frequency of this smartphone. For example, for this ZP980+, the Frequency:is 2G:GSM850/900/1800/1900MHz; 3G:WCDMA900/1900/2100MHz, now you should go to visit this site:

choose your country, and confirm if this frequency is supported on your local Carrier.

3 Most China Smartphone are used MTK chip. Click here to check the wiki information about MTK, this company is really doing good on the chip business, and some famous brand begin to work with them,like Sony. Sony will launcher a new model called TianChi use the MTK6592 Octa Core CPU.

Ok, now back to our review.

The ZOPO ZP980+(A.K.A ZOPO ZP980 Plus) is one of the newest Octa Core Smartphone,it  use the MTK6592 CPU, run @1.7Ghz, and Mali-450 GPU,run @700mHz. Built in 1GB Ram and 16GB Storage. Support 64GB Micro SD card extended( Already tested by Geekbuying, really can support). Here is the basic information about this zopo zp980+:

SYSTEM Review:

The ZP980+ Come with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, so when you first power on your ZOPO ZP980+,you will see the original android menu:

Since it is orignal Google Android 4.2 OS, so you will find the Goole Play Store, Google Maps,Google Talk,Google Mail,Google Calendar are built in, SO with the google framework support, you don’t need to worry some game can’t play due to lack of those.

ZOPO ZP980+ also come with a nice features, it alow you to change the system theme by yourself, it give you the following four choice, You can pick up the one you love.

Now let’s check the system setting about ZOPO ZP980+

There is a trick here, zopo hide some features in the smartphone, but you can active those advantage settings by pressing the Build Number for many times.  it will inform you when you sucessfully active the advantage settings.

Now go back to the setting menu:

Here i want to show you some interesting settings i have found in those zopo zp980+

In display setting,you will find the ClearMotion function,it help to enhance the video fluency.

In Battery setting, there is CPU POWER SAVING MODE.this is default to be choosen, i have tested, if i don’t choose this mode, the antutu benchmark score will improve at least 2000. but if you want to get longer battery time, you had better keep the default.

and in Audio Profiles, there is sound enhancement

AND Here is more settings about VPN, mobile hotspot:

Phone Storage Setting, the ZOPO ZP980+ Come with 1GB Ram, and 16GB ROM( please notice, the sample i am reviewing is coming with 32GB ROM, however, the real stock for the zp908+ is still 16GB, factory has not bulk made the 32GB version, but will have them later, i guess)

Also ZOPO ZP980+ support 64GB micro sd card to expand. we have tested with sandisk class 10 64GB micro sd card, the read write speed is very good.

WIFI TEST

ZOPO ZP908+ support dual band wifi, 2.4Ghz and 5.8Ghz,so if you have the 5G wireless routers, you can connect your ZP980+ directly:

Because i only have one 5ghz wireless router near me, so just can find one 5g wireless signal
