This is the 1080P Firmware for Tronsmart T428 base on the latest android 4.2 firmware we just release.
Please notice, in 1080p model,the tronsmart t428 will get much more heat, we strongly recommend you to use external usb fan to make sure it won’t get so much heat! Please Notice before you flash.

HULU plus crashes/does not work. Netflix and Crunchy roll seem fine.
Unfortuately Plex also seems unable to play all of my movie collection on local LAN whereas it was able to several hours ago on the previous rom. I get a black screen and no sound OR says cant play it. I am not bitching I appreciate the work, just testing and giving feedback. BTW took me 2-3 hours to root since the drivers do not work for this device – I ended up hacking the INF to get it to work and then still had to find a WIN7 machine since WIN8 would not install them.

could not wait just flashed both devices. no heat issue while playing 1080p movies. room temp is 25c. device is just warm as was before non 1080p flash.
Any chance in future of OTA update option.
The 720 p is better compared to the 1080p.
bad news guys, one of my device is dead. lost the display but I can see red light of power. my computer also does not recognize that device. played almost for 2 hours to find out what is wrong but no luck. seems like I have lost my $100 bill to 1080p firmware. any suggestions?
You can try to flash the firmware again, the red light of power is still on, so please don’t worry.
My both PC does not detect the device. My second device detects in seconds but the dead one.
Need Help Guys some reason in this firmware if you conect hardware keyboard its still showing you on screen please could you tell us how to switch it off or fix it in future
How do i flash if my computer does not recognize the device? Help me out guys.
I found the actual root folder after further searching Eric, but there is one problem the storage only has 500mb and only 200 are free so I can’t even upload the .img file to the folder. This is getting to be a major headache please fix this asap.

There is hope for us. Following forum on subject it appear that rockchips has issue a major update to there rk3188 sdk. What it mean is lot of problems had been solve. Now it up to Tronsmart, but wait, that update is only few days old so give them time to acheive the new firmware. All rk3188 have problem, that was a rockchips flaw. I am sure that Tronsmart will issue a real good firmware soon.
Ok that’s great that they are fixing the current firmware but I can’t even get that loaded because the storage is only 500mb and the firmware is 460mb which means it won’t even load onto it so what do I do?

Maybe by flashing with this one you will have the 2G system part and then aply this one

Unpack it on your computer then follow direction to flash it, you will need to plug your stick into your computer (holding the reset at same time). Your computer will detect the stick (you need install the driver). Detail instruction are in readme file. The program will erase your stick, format the memory (erasing everything) make a partition of 2Gb for system and apps.
It only works with Moborobo not Rockchip’s Flash Tool!

That method doesn’t work Eric how many people do you need to hear saying that it doesn’t work before you figure out that it’s not something we are doing wrong it’s just defective. Mine will only be recognized by the Moborobo program not with the provided drivers they are useless as mentioned by Ravi on the CX-919 blog post. So please fix this soon because I am currently in the process of getting a refund.

It seems to me that in tronsmart have made yet another mistake, in the last firmware they provide (and which apparently now installed at the keys) have varied values Vid and Pid for USB hardware detection without correct drivers so that not match what is in the windows key.
on every ways we need a new firmware that fix video stuttering,
geekbuying is the only source we have for having info about this
we trusted in you and in your communication with the producer, before with old’s rk3066 and now for rk3188, why there arent news about a new firmware?
I think that everyone have to know that for the moment the old’s rk3066 works better, it’s not serious to promote a new device that has unsolved issues

We are also waiting for the new firmware base on the rockchip SDK 2.0. I will push the factory to hurry to finish that. trust me, we have worked really hard to report the problem, and push them to fix!

It has no display on tv or monitor via hdmi port, no signal You know what i’m tired of playing with dead stick, how many e-mails i’ve sent to you that this stick does not have display signal while connected to tv or monitor and my both pc does not detect this device no matter how many time i try while pressing little button on side or without pressing that button. i tried both USB connection to connect pc but no success. My both PCs able to detects my second T428 device running same firmware file 1080p file that link was posted on your website. please tell if you can replace it or i can throw in the trash bin.
