  1. THANK YOU!!!!

  2. Thank you for the firmware!
    I just got my QX1.
How do I upgrade the firmware, do you have any instructions please!
Do I just copy the file to the SD Card like upgrading the MX1 or is it different?

    hi

you need to use the RKBATCH TOOLS to do the upgrade.

    thanks

  4. For those having issues reverting back to 4.1.x from 4.2.2 (or vica versa for any ROM):

I had a hell of time trying to figure out how to downgrade the QX1 with my Windows 7 PC (as my QX1 was pre-installed with 4.2.2)..

    However heres the thing..
Plug in the QX1 to your PC.
    Open Rockchip flash tool.
Were the #1 spot is the color should be pink (anything other then green)
If so then hit ‘SWITCH’ on the Rockchip flash tool.
You will see after a few secs your device is no longer seen within the #1 spot.
From there you will also here the dreaded disconnected USB sound..
If so that’s cool, Just make sure you have the driver handy (if not get it above).

    (On a Windows Based OS)
Go to START menu and LEFT MOUSE CLICK on COMPUTER and go to property’s.
    Click on DEVICE MANAGER
from there you will see an UNKNOWN DEVICE listing.
just click on it and browse to were your driver is that you downloaded (*make sure you use the correct driver for your PC*).

After the driver is installed the icon on Rockchip flash tool should be green..

If so browse for your ROM you want to either upgrade or downgrade too and just click UPGRADE on the flash tool.

Thats all there is to it..
after the upgrade is done UNPLUG the USB POWER CORD from the QX1 and plug it back into your AC adapter.

The boot up will take ruffly 2~3mins for the first time for all the system files to recompile and install..

    Enjoy your ROM,
Hopefully this info was useful as I had a hell of a time figuring out how to re-flash this sweet little device..
