Xiaomi launches its Mi Pad 3 in low profile. This long-waited item is the upgraded version of its former model Mi Pad 2 which comes out in November 2015. Appearance
Noticeable detail is that both Mi Pad 2 and Mi Pad 3 apply the same metal material – aluminium alloy for the surface, another one is Mi Pad 3 has so far only champagne gold color available for sale while Mi Pad 2 is varied in 3 different colors – gray, silver and champagne gold.
Processor
Mi Pad 2 is in fact equipped with Intel Atom X5-Z8500 quad core processor, based on 14nm manufacturing process. The performance is identical to Qualcomm Snapdragon 808. Mi Pad 3 is powered by MIUI 8, adding new feature B&W Reading Mode which allows you to read or view images in conventional paper texture style. Mi Pad 2 runs on both MIUI and Win 10 operating system(Except for the 16GB version which is not well-equipped for Windows 10 system).
Standby and Camera
Mi Pad 3 has a bigger battery capacity(6600mAh) than Mi Pad 2, with the standby time extended to 867 hours. Mi Pad 3’s rear camera has upgraded to 13MP.(while Mi Pad 2’s rear camera is in 8MP).
