Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 Photos, Specifications and Features Leaked

According to a leaked presentation. Xiaomi is going to release a 9.7″ Mi Pad 3 powered by a Core M3-7Y30 with 8GB of RAM on December 30.

Similar to the Mi Pad 2, the Mi Pad 3 will also be an all metal body device. The Mi Pad 3 is bigger than the previous ones, as it now sports a 9.7” retina display (2048 x 1536) compared to the 7.9” screen size of previous generations. But it’s thinner than Mi Pad 2. Its only 6.08 mm, whereas Mi Pad 2 has 7mm thickness. It is said to measure 239.5×164.5×6.08mm and weigh 380 grams.

It’s got a fully laminated IGZO 2048 x 1536 display, same display as all the other 4:3 tablets. On the front it will have an ultrasonic fingerprint reader. It also has a set of front and rear cameras, an 8MP shooter for video calling and a 16MP sensor at back with dual tone flash for taking pictures.

The Mi Pad 3 is said to house a 7th Gen Core M processor (m3-7Y30) from Intel paired with 8GB RAM. Please note that Mi Notebook Air 12.5″ has 6th Gen Intel Core m3 (m3-6Y30) processor. So its very much advanced than the Mi Notebook Air 12.5″. Powered by the on-board Intel HD Graphics 615 GPU, the document says it will come in two storage options: 128GB and 256GB.With that amount of power underneath, the Mi Pad 3 could easily compete with convertibles, the likes of HP Elite x2, the Lenovo Yoga or the Asus ZenBook.

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is expected to launch with Windows 10 and come pre-installed with the MS Office Suite and Cortana. It will also have an additional keyboard dock in case you need to use it for serious work. There is no mention of an android version.

Compared with the Mi Pad 2, the battery has been increased now from 6190 mAh to 8290 mAh. There is Quick Charge 3.0 support with USB Type C charging port. The dual speaker grills are now positioned to the bottom, which is a lot better than Mi Pad 2.

As per the leaks, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 will be going on sale on December 30. The 128GB version will be priced at CNY 1,999 ($288), while the 256GB version will be priced at RMB 2,299 ($331).
