KaiDeng toys announced KaiDeng K130 at Electronics Fair in Hong Kong April 13-16. The K130 resembles an egg when turned off, but when turned on transforms itself into a drone with propellers on all sides and a camera in the middle. When it’s done flying, everything folds back in and the drone rests in egg form. The drone features a 0.3MP camera, 200mAh Li-po battery which would give a flight time of around 6 minutes approximately for a fully charge cycle, CF mode, auto hover, and one key return etc.
The design is sleek, compact, and portable. The propellers can be folded into the device when not in use. The Egg weighs 32.3g and measures 64mm×50mm×50mm when folded. Its body is comprised of high density plastic.
The 1.46 inch quick release rotors are built with the unique design. They have been enforced with new carbon fiber compound material to ensure excellent performance with increased stability. The brand new motor shield structure makes the replacement of motor becomes very simple. The shockproof rubber gear pad combined with automatic landing function makes the landing process perfect.
The drone comes with an integrated 0.3MP camera that can shoot 640×480(480p) videos. Although this is not a high end photography drone but this is a great entry to learn how to fly and position the camera.
The drone can be controlled through your smartphone. Once the K130 and phone are connected by WIFI you go on the app and the camera is on and you are ready to fly.
The KaiDeng K130 has two versions. The RTF version comes with transmitter but it does not come with camera. While the BNF version comes with camera and controlled by smartphone. Currently, you can go pre-order the KaiDeng K130 on Geekbuying.
